The Motors By The Sea Festival is coming to Bournemouth from 14th – 16th September. Promising to deliver a fantastic spectacle for car enthusiasts, fun for the local community and families and to promote Boscombe’s lively and bohemian atmosphere. The FREE festival brings an eclectic mix of events, workshops, exhibitors and classic and special vehicles to town!
The event gives local motoring fans a platform from which to showcase their talents, network and gain knowledge from collectors and industry experts alike. On Saturday 15th September Headline sponsor Paragon Education & Skills, at Bournemouth Technical Centre on Ashley Road, will be advising young people who are considering an apprenticeship in motoring and engineering and will illustrate the careers available. Practical sessions, run by the AA, will educate visitors on a host of subjects, including basic vehicle fault diagnosis; how to analyse a vehicle breakdown, establishing the problems and understanding the solutions.
Saturday will also see a select number of classic and supercars displayed alongside Boscombe Market. In the Boscombe Sovereign Centre there will be a selection of exhibitors, all connected to the automotive industry. A ‘Car of the Future’ area will boast a display of electric cars from e car company R Symons, including the latest Tesla which is sure to impress and inspire. Local business, Poole based business ‘Wraptastic’ will be in the precinct showing how your car or vehicle can be transformed with the use of vibrant, textured car wrapping films. Specsavers will be offering free eye tests to drivers.
Renowned local artist, Miroslav Lucan will be bringing Lucan Art to life, enabling festival visitors to work with him as he constructs a futuristic car from cardboard. Children can take part in Arts2Educate’s workshop where they can design and draw or make their own car of the future, from recycled materials. A team of local artists from Urban Furniture Perspective will be displaying a range of custom made, futuristic pram cars.

Cars will be exhibited at Boscombe Precinct on Sunday 16th September with an impressive line-up which includes vintage, classic and retro cars and motor bikes. Club Mini Allsorts will be showcasing 9 Minis from the years 1963 – 2009. Classic vehicles which will draw interest include a MG B Roadster, Triumph Sports Roadster, Marcos Mantra 400 Skyline, Nissan Skyline R32 GTR, Honda Integra Type R, Porsche 356, Mitsubishi Shogun Sport and L200 and more will be on display.

Festival organisers will have a presence in Bournemouth Square on Saturday 8th September from 10am – 4pm when they will be showcasing a Lamborghini Murcielago in order to raise awareness of the upcoming event and handing out Motors By The Sea Festival programmes.
