Seasonal Calendar Offers a Glimpse Into Everyday Life at Kanesbury Care
ABBA and Spice Girls tribute nights, an Elvis Rock & Roll Show, a Halloween Party and dedicated wellbeing sessions feature in Kanesbury Care’s late summer and autumn calendar, offering just a glimpse into the vibrant daily life enjoyed by residents across its six homes in Poole and Bournemouth.
Kanesbury Care, formerly Luxury Care, is an award-winning provider operating six residential, dementia and nursing homes across Poole and Bournemouth. The organisation has unveiled its late summer and autumn programme of events and activities, highlighting the rich lifestyle residents enjoy every day.
While the seasonal calendar features live music, themed celebrations, community events and wellbeing experiences running from August through October, these sit alongside a full programme of daily activities delivered across every home. From arts and crafts, gardening, baking and exercise classes to reminiscence sessions, quizzes, games, visiting entertainers and community groups, wellbeing is woven into everyday life, creating opportunities for residents to stay active, connected and engaged.
For Kanesbury Care, this is nothing new. A vibrant programme of activities, entertainment and wellbeing has been at the heart of life across its homes for many years and is one of the things new residents and their families comment on most after moving in. The seasonal calendar simply highlights some of the larger events taking place over the coming months and reflects the culture that exists across the homes every day.
The programme runs across Eagles Mount, Aranlaw House, Regency Manor, Branksome Park, Kingsman House and Seabourne House, with music at its heart. Highlights include ABBA and Spice Girls tribute nights, an Elvis Rock & Roll Show, a ZooLab Animal Experience, a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon, Veterans Day at Regency Manor, and a Halloween Party to round off the season at Kingsman House.
Every event on the seasonal calendar is open to residents’ families, reinforcing Kanesbury Care’s belief that life’s most meaningful moments are shared together. Family members are warmly encouraged to join celebrations, performances and community events throughout the year.
Alongside the entertainment, wellbeing remains central throughout the programme. Residents can enjoy experiences ranging from Seabourne House’s Meditation and Zen session and a Poole Harbour boat trip in August, to Branksome Park’s Green Room sessions and Regency Manor’s Indian Culture Club in September, alongside hundreds of everyday moments that promote purpose, independence, friendship and enjoyment.

Alison Williams, Wellbeing Lead at Kanesbury Care, said,
“People often think these seasonal events are something we’ve introduced especially for summer, but they’re simply an extension of what happens in our homes every day. A full programme of activities, entertainment and wellbeing has been part of life at Kanesbury Care for many years.
“One of the things new residents and their families tell us most often is how surprised they are by the energy, variety and sense of community they experience when they move into one of our homes. Whether it’s live music, creative sessions, exercise, outings or simply spending meaningful time together, our aim is to ensure every day offers opportunities for purpose, enjoyment and connection.
“The seasonal calendar is simply a snapshot of everyday life at Kanesbury Care and a reflection of our belief that great care is about helping people continue to live fulfilling, meaningful lives.”
