Bournemouth Businesses Take to the Green for Annual Bowling Networking Event

Saffery and Handelsbanken Dorset once again joined forces to host their popular bowling and networking afternoon at Argyll Bowling Club on the West Overcliff, and once again, the sun played along.

Over 45 guests from Bournemouth’s business community took to the green for an afternoon of team lawn bowls, friendly competition and relaxed networking, with Argyll’s own officials on hand to coach newcomers through the finer points of the game.

Now an established fixture in the local business calendar, the event has become known as much for its networking as its weather luck.

Hannah Mazrae, Partner at Saffery, said: “There’s something about this event and good weather, we’re starting to think we’ve got a standing arrangement with the sunshine. It’s always brilliant to see so many familiar faces from across the local business community, and events like this are such a natural way to catch up, build relationships and enjoy a bit of friendly competition. Huge thanks to Argyll Bowling Club for looking after us so well,  the Umpire is always right, apparently, as we were reminded more than once!”
