A New Name. The Same Family at Heart.
LuxuryCare becomes Kanesbury Care, marking 26 years of award-winning care across Bournemouth & Poole.
Earlier on in April, guests gathered at the Nici Hotel in Bournemouth to raise a glass to a milestone moment: the official rebrand of LuxuryCare to Kanesbury Care. With wine tasting, canapés and warm conversation flowing freely, the occasion was a fitting reflection of everything the new brand stands for: people, family and a celebration of life lived well.
More Than a Name Change
For 26 years, the group has grown from a single home to a trusted family of six across Bournemouth and Poole. But the name LuxuryCare, chosen in the early days to convey the quality and standard of care on offer, had begun to tell only part of the story.
The rebrand reflects Kanesbury Care’s long-term vision and leadership within the sector, moving beyond the traditional perception of care homes as clinical or end-of-life settings, and instead championing vibrant, lifestyle-led environments where people continue to live fully. The refreshed Kanesbury Care identity places clear emphasis on family, living well, maintaining independence and creating meaningful daily experiences, a vision the group has been thoughtfully shaping for years and is now ready to name.
Speaking at the launch, Sam Hoskins, Managing Director, reflected on what has always set the organisation apart: “It’s personal. It always has been.” Paying tribute to Kevin’s parents, whose vision shaped everything that followed, she added, “LuxuryCare was built with dedication and strong family values by Kevin’s mum and dad. Their vision created something truly meaningful, something we are all proud to be part of.”
A Name Built from Family
The name Kanesbury is not a brand invented in a boardroom. It is drawn from within the Gunputh family itself, carrying the names of Kevin, his wife Esra and their children, Kayla and Kaan It is a name that holds the next generation, and signals that this business is built not just to succeed today, but to endure.
CEO Kevin Gunputh, whose parents founded the business in 2000, explained the thinking simply, “The name Kanesbury has got a bit of us in there. It’s got a bit of Esra, Kayla and a bit of Kaan. We’re all part of that.”
Addressing guests directly, Kevin spoke about what the brand has always truly represented, drawing on words his father had shared just the day before at a family funeral, “Family is not just who you are related to, but also who you surround yourself with.” The room, full of colleagues, partners and long-standing supporters, understood exactly what he meant.
An Occasion to Remember
The launch event at the Nici Hotel brought together partners, families, team members and supporters for an evening of wine tasting, canapés and heartfelt conversation. Short presentations by Sam and Kevin set the tone; candid, proud, and full of the warmth that has always defined this organisation’s culture.
The atmosphere was telling. This was not a corporate relaunch. It was a community proud of its past and energised by what lies ahead.
Same Homes. Same Teams. Same Standard.
The rebrand changes the name, not the commitment to exceptional care. Kanesbury Care’s six homes across Bournemouth and Poole continue to offer residential, dementia, nursing and neurological care, supported by long-standing teams whose familiar faces residents and families have come to trust. Kevin noted, with evident pride, the longevity of many staff members’ service. “There are several with nearly 2 decades of service.” That continuity, of people, of values, of care, is the foundation on which Kanesbury Care is built.
Among the group’s most distinctive commitments is its Home for Life promise, a pledge that residents can remain in their chosen home even if their financial circumstances change. In a sector where fear of disruption is among the greatest anxieties families face, this guarantee removes one of the most significant barriers to confident care decisions, offering genuine and lasting peace of mind to those navigating complex later-life choices.
As Sam concluded in her address, “This next chapter would not be possible without you all. As Managing Director, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, and even more excited about what lies ahead.”
