STARS Dorset Joins the Global “16 Days of Activism” Campaign to End Gender-Based Violence
STARS Dorset is proud to take part in the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, running from 25th November to 10th December 2025. The campaign begins on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on Human Rights Day, uniting communities worldwide in calling for an end to violence against women and girls.
This year’s theme, “End Digital Violence”, highlights the growing impact of online abuse and harassment. Throughout the campaign, the STARS Dorset Engagement Team will deliver outreach and awareness activities across Dorset and the BCP area.
To spark conversation, the team will use their mobile installation, inviting the public to share their views around online abuse, the impact of this and how we can prevent it in society, they will also be sharing useful resources and offering advice and support where needed.
In the BCP area, the team will support the #JustDont campaign, encouraging men and boys to challenge harmful “banter” and call out abusive behaviour.
