Whitefox Chartered Surveyors Donate Expertise to Bring Sunflower House to Life
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care opens its new therapies centre in Poole, with project management and cost consultancy support from Whitefox Chartered Surveyors.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has proudly opened the doors to Sunflower House, its brand-new therapies centre on Longfleet Road, Poole, a vibrant new space for patients and families at the start of their hospice journey.

The project was supported with the generous pro bono support of Whitefox Chartered Surveyors, who acted as Project Managers and Cost Consultants throughout the build. Their expert guidance and commitment ensured the project was delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset and the Mayor of Poole, marking a special moment for the charity. It was wonderful to see countless supporters, staff and volunteers in attendance, all of whom played an important role in making Sunflower House a reality.

The new centre features five therapy suites and provides a bright, welcoming environment designed to bring comfort, connection, and hope to people across Dorset.

Clare Gallie, CEO of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, said:

“We are so thrilled to open Sunflower House for the services of patients and families in Dorset who will receive important care and complementary therapies at this site. Particular thanks to the Whitefox team for all their amazing guidance and support on this community project.”

Darren Frias Robles, Managing Director at Whitefox Chartered Surveyors and Quantity Surveyor, Josh Byrne, added:

“We’re incredibly proud to have supported Lewis-Manning Hospice Care with the development of Sunflower House. It’s been a privilege to contribute our expertise to a project that will have such a meaningful impact on the community. Supporting local initiatives that make a real difference is at the heart of what we do.”

The opening of Sunflower House marks an exciting new chapter for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, enabling the charity to reach more people with its free, compassionate hospice care and therapies across East Dorset, Purbeck, Bournemouth and West Hampshire.
