Discover Summer Fun in Poole Town This August with Poole BID

Poole town is set to come alive this August with a jam-packed calendar of exciting events, workshops, and special offers for families, locals, and visitors to enjoy, as part of ‘Discover Summer Fun in Poole’, hosted by Poole Business Improvement District (BID).

From hands-on creative sessions and children’s camps to quiz nights, open mic events, and a roar-some dinosaur theatre experience – there’s something for all ages and interests to enjoy in Poole this summer. The festivities will run throughout August, taking place at vibrant venues across the town.

Event Highlights include:

·      Live Music Every Weekend – Summer Sounds on Poole Quay – a series of free open-air live music performances taking place every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm on Poole Quay. With a laid-back seaside vibe, visitors can enjoy performances from local musicians and acoustic acts while relaxing in the sunshine, grabbing a bite from nearby cafés, or browsing the harbourside shops.

·      Summer Camp 2025: Wild Art Wonders (5–9 August) – an imaginative, nature-inspired creative camp for children aged 7–12 years, developed in partnership with Coda Music & Arts Trust.

·      Mario & Luigi On Tour at High Score Arcades (15 August) – meet your favourite gaming characters, take selfies and enjoy interactive play.

·      Dinosaur World Live (29–31 August) – an unforgettable, interactive stage adventure for the whole family.

But that’s not all! A host of drop-in and ticketed workshops are taking place at venues like Wild Roots, Poole Central Library, High Score Arcades, Delfino Lounge, and The Project Climbing Centre, including:

·       Miniature Garden Workshops

·       Terrarium & Candle-Making

·       Creative Crafts and Storytime

·       Open Mic Nights & Pub Quizzes

·       Pottery Painting and Drawing Sessions

·       Lino Printing, Tie-Dye, and Decoupage Workshops

·       Book-themed Activities including Wimpy Kid Day and Squishy Making

These events offer a fantastic way for families and groups of friends to connect, learn something new, and enjoy Poole’s creative spirit.

Entry forms are available at participating venues across town and can also be downloaded from the Poole BID website or accessed via social media.
