Poole High School partners with the Poole Harbour Boat Show
Poole High School has joined forces with the Poole Harbour Boat Show (PHBS) with the school community planning to get involved and make a positive contribution to the popular boat show.
The fifth annual Poole Harbour Boat Show, in association with Sunseeker, runs from 7th – 9th June. With over 32,000 people in attendance in 2018 the Show, organised by Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC), continues to be the biggest-ever, FREE to attend Boat Show on the South Coast.
PHC’s Marinas Manager Kerrie Gray advised, “We are delighted to have the support and commitment of Pool High School. They will be getting involved in a variety of ways; pupils will be providing musical entertainment on the live family music stage over the weekend. Other pupils are keen to carry out volunteering roles with various activities during the show and the whole school community will be making sure that they are letting as many people as possible know about the Poole Harbour Boat Show. Our perfect ambassadors!”
Poole High Assistant Head Teacher Adam Dolman enthused, “This year, Poole High School is celebrating 80 years of serving the families in the historic town of Poole and we are delighted and proud to be in partnership with one of Poole’s largest public free events, the Poole Harbour Boat Show. This exciting event will give Poole High School students a fantastic opportunity to get involved within the community. With over 32,000 visitors expected, our students will act as guides to help ensure the smooth running of the show throughout the weekend. Performing Arts students will entertain the visitors with performances from this year’s school production, Little Shop of Horrors. We are delighted that Poole High is immersing itself within the true spirit of community.”
