Mays Estate Agents Raise £860 for STARS Dorset Through Festive Charity Campaign
Mays Estate Agents have proudly presented a cheque for £860 to STARS Dorset following a successful festive charity fundraising campaign, made possible by the generosity of their clients, partners and staff.
The cheque presentation was made by Iain Bonneywell, Partner at Mays Estate Agents, to STARS Dorset Volunteers Manager Joanna Keats and Fundraiser Adam Dennett. The funds raised will help STARS Dorset continue delivering vital free and confidential support services for anyone in Dorset who has experienced sexual violence or trauma.
STARS Dorset (Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services) is a pan-Dorset charity offering tailored support including counselling, independent sexual violence advisor (ISVA) services, welcome and engagement support and group work. Their mission is to empower survivors on their journey to recovery and to challenge societal attitudes towards abuse.
Commenting on the fundraising effort, Iain Bonneywell, Partner at Mays Estate Agents, said, “We’re incredibly proud to support STARS Dorset through our festive charity fundraising campaign. Raising £860 was a real team effort and a testament to the generosity of our clients, partners and staff, especially at such a busy time of year. STARS Dorset provides vital support to survivors in our community, and it was a pleasure to present the cheque and help contribute to the important work they do.”
Adam Dennett, Fundraiser at STARS Dorset, added, “We are extremely grateful to Mays Estate Agents for choosing to support STARS Dorset and for raising such a fantastic £860 through their Christmas campaign. Support like this makes a genuine difference, helping us continue to provide vital services for survivors of sexual violence and trauma across Dorset. On behalf of everyone at STARS, thank you to the whole Mays team, their clients and supporters for their generosity.”
Mays Estate Agents regularly support local causes and are committed to giving back to the communities in which they live and work. Their festive campaign once again demonstrated the positive impact local businesses can make when they come together to support a shared cause.
