Whitefox Chartered Surveyors Awarded Major Roofing Project at St Edmund’s School, Portsmouth
Bournemouth-based Whitefox Chartered Surveyors has been awarded a major roofing project at St Edmund’s School in Portsmouth by the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth.
As part of the appointment, Whitefox Chartered Surveyors will lead on the design and specification of the roofing works and provide full project management services. This will include procurement of suitable contractors, putting appropriate contracts in place, managing costs and risk, and overseeing health and safety compliance in line with Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations.
The project forms part of the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving its school buildings across the estate.
Darren Frias Robles, Managing Director at Whitefox Chartered Surveyors, said, “We continue to look after and work with our valued clients at the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth, supporting them in caring for their school buildings across the estate. We are now planning to deliver this project in a way that minimises disruption to the school, with the majority of the works scheduled to take place during the summer holidays in 2026.”
Works are currently in the planning phase, with a focus on careful programming to ensure the safety of pupils, staff and visitors, while delivering a high-quality and durable roofing solution for the school.
