Regeneration Initiative set to transform Poole’s Kingland Crescent with Local Expertise from Dorset-Based Spetisbury Construction
Dorset-based Spetisbury Construction is proud to be at the centre of the latest regeneration project at Kingland Crescent in Poole, building on its success in Bournemouth Town Centre. Fresh from completing a high-profile regeneration in Bournemouth—including being shortlisted for Regeneration Project of the Year 2025 at the South Coast Property Awards – Spetisbury is now delivering refurbishment and commercial upgrades in Poole Town Centre.
The team will work closely with The Dolphin Poole and its managing agents.
Currently five weeks into the six-month programme, the project involves re-roofing and comprehensive refurbishment of buildings and flats along the left-hand wing of Kingland Crescent—from Specsavers to the railway pedestrian crossing—including retail spaces occupied by Grounded Coffee Roasters, Lavender Moon, Wild Roots Greenery, and Fone World.
John Grinnell, Centre Manager at The Dolphin Poole, commented:
“Bringing on board Dorset‑based Spetisbury Construction has been instrumental to our regeneration vision. Their reputation for exceptional quality and deep expertise in sensitive refurbishment makes them the ideal partner. We appreciate Spetisbury Construction’s strategic approach to minimise disruption for both shoppers and residents whilst this project takes place.”
Justin Ives, MD of Spetisbury Construction, added:
“We’re delighted to be part of such a significant regeneration project in Poole. It presents a different environment and showcases the breadth of skills our experienced team brings. Our priority is ensuring the existing buildings remain operational throughout, enabling tenants and users to continue business as usual.
Every project has its challenges; working over a busy pedestrian precinct, liaising with Kingland’s valued shop tenants to minimise disruption, scheduling around protected seagull nests, and coordinating proximity to the railway. Yet, it’s genuinely exciting to be contributing to such an uplifting regeneration initiative.”
This timely regeneration of Kingland Crescent aligns with broader rejuvenation efforts across The Dolphin Poole. With both residential and commercial elements, the refurbishment aims to enhance vibrancy, improve local amenities, and foster sustainable growth across the town centre.
The plans of the centre are expected to boost footfall, support local businesses, and position Poole as a thriving destination.
