Trethowans expands its family law offering with new collaborative law specialist
Trethowans is delighted to announce that Kate Lewis, Senior Associate in the Family team, has successfully completed her collaborative law training with Resolution.
Kate joins other members of Trethowans’ Family team who are already trained in this increasingly popular form of non-court dispute resolution. Collaborative law offers an alternative approach to traditional litigation, enabling separating couples to resolve issues in a constructive and family-focused way.
The collaborative process allows couples to work through their issues face-to-face with the support of their respective collaboratively trained lawyers and other professionals, such as financial advisers, family consultants and child specialists. By signing an agreement not to litigate, all parties commit to reaching a resolution without court proceedings, fostering an environment of cooperation and mutual respect.
Speaking about her new qualification, Kate Lewis said: “I’m excited to be able to offer a new non-court dispute resolution service to our clients in Dorset and look forward to assisting couples resolve issues with their former partner in a more conciliatory and family-focused way.”
Trethowans’ Family team is proud to offer a range of dispute resolution options to suit the needs of its clients. With a growing number of collaborative lawyers within the team, as well as mediators and Resolution Together trained lawyers, the team are committed to helping families find solutions that prioritise the wellbeing of everyone involved, particularly children.
