Trethowans Advises on TotalAV’s Strategic Merger with Pango Group, Creating Point Wild
Total Security is the provider of award-winning antivirus protection Total AV and Trethowans is proud to have acted as the lead legal advisors on the Total Security side of the merger. The combined entity, now rebranded as Point Wild, is set to become a global leader in cybersecurity solutions for both consumers and enterprises.
The transaction was led by corporate partners Jamie Earley and Nick Gent, with support from associates Amrita Sangha and Jason Riley, with employment advice being provided by senior associate Andrew Crudge. Partner Louise Thompson assisted with commercial and data protection aspects. Trethowans previously advised on the acquisition of Total Security in 2023.
The merger establishes Point Wild as a powerhouse in the cybersecurity market, with a portfolio of trusted brands protecting 25 million users worldwide and projected annual revenues of $600 million. With an enterprise value of $1.7 billion and a diverse go-to-market strategy, Point Wild is positioned for sustained growth in a rapidly expanding sector.
