Visit Bournemouth Pier for an eventful fun packed family Christmas experience!
Bournemouth Pier is promoting an eventful, fun packed Christmas experience which will run from Friday November 18th until Friday 30th December. It promises to delight and entertain visitors of all ages and make the Victorian Pier a ‘must visit’ Festive season destination! Themed decorations promise to delight and there will be an abundance of activities, events and musical entertainment.
· A Christmas Trail along the Pier will include over 100 six-foot trees, all adorned with lights, from the Pier Approach entrance to the pier and will continue along to the end of Pier, finishing at the Key West Bar & Restaurant entrance. A further 3 twelve- foot trees will be placed outside RockReef Activity Attraction & Key West on the Pier and at Coffee Reef on Pier Approach and there will be a decorated twenty-foot tree inside Key West as it is transformed into a Winter Wonderland. A fun, Festive themed quiz will keep visitors entertained as they walk along Bournemouth Pier with questions and answers placed on boards between the trees
· The Pier Kiosk will be full of Festive treats which will include Candyfloss, Hotdogs, Churros, Nachos, Mulled Wine and Ice cream, all available to take away so you can enjoy the Festive pier atmosphere. Gingerbread houses will also be available to purchase from the kiosk.
· A Christmas Letter Box will be installed to collect children’s letters to Santa, with the promise that all letters will be personally answered by Santa.
· ‘Breakfast with Santa’ events will take place on Saturday 10th and 17th December, with Santa present with two of elves to personally greet children. Both these events have already sold out for 2022!
· Family photo opportunities will be provided with a life size Father Christmas and a custom-made Christmas bench which will provide the perfect backdrop to capture those memories.
· Christmas Characters on the pier will include a snowman and reindeer and they will be keeping guests entertained across the pier and may even join in for some climbing in RockReef or a flight on the zip wire!
· Day time Christmas music will add to the Festive atmosphere with choirs performing on various days.
· Live musical entertainment will be showcased every Friday evening from 7pm, ensuring that everyone gets in the Christmas mood. https://www.keywestbournemouth.co.uk/live-music-this-christmas-at-key-west/ Entry to this will be free.
· A live DJ will take to the decks every Saturday from 6pm and continue until late for Christmas parties. Playing all the Christmas classics such as Cliff, Shakey, Slade and many more, he’ll be mixing these with chart and party songs as the evening progresses to ensure a Christmas party to remember!
