Sandra Redknapp joins Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as Patron
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is delighted to announce that Sandra Redknapp is joining her husband Harry Redknapp as Patron of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
Sandra joins with a vast knowledge of the local Dorset community and is passionate about helping local lives in the area. Sandra is thrilled to be the new Patron of the local hospice charity that is making real difference to patients, and their families, living with a life-limiting illness.
Commenting on her new role, Sandra said, “I am very pleased to be asked to be part of the Lewis-Manning Hospice Care team and join as Patron of this fantastic charity. The hospice has gone through lots of changes over the past 18 months and it’s wonderful to see the extraordinary care, innovation and resilience it has, particularly during the pandemic. The hospice is accomplishing so much at the moment, and I’m very excited to be part of the future of this remarkable charity hospice. I will, hopefully, try and persuade Barney our bulldog to attend one of the ‘Paws on their Walks’ events.”
Chief Executive Clare Gallie said, “We are all over the moon that Sandra has agreed to be Patron of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care. It will be great to work together and she is a fantastic addition to our growing team of Patrons.”
About Lewis-Manning Hospice Care
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a charity established 29 years ago, providing extraordinary care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset. We offer a range of free hospice care services aimed at helping people to live well through their illness, closer to home.
These include:
– Day hospices, virtual and in person
– Creative arts & wellbeing support
– Lymphoedema clinic
– Better breathing clinic
– Bereavement & family support
Every year we support nearly 500 local people and we develop new services, based on patient need and identified gaps in the area.
To do this we need to raise over £1.6m every year. Without these funds we could not exist.
Our important work increases people’s physical and social well-being, reduces isolation and loneliness, supports people to stay in their homes longer, and alleviates the huge pressures on family and carers.
