Stephanie Wyatt is a Legal Secretary at Gales Solicitors in Winton and has recently been crowned Miss Earth England. The 19- year- old won the coveted award, amidst stiff competition in a final which took place at the Arden Hotel in Birmingham. Stephanie was a selected finalist representing Dorset in a competition that saw women from many other regions from across the UK competing for the title. The finals event saw contestants making an eco- warrior outfit, creating an eco- themed message board, talking about their ongoing charity work and understanding of environmental matters. The finals culminated in an evening gown category with interviews.
Stephanie’s message board had the key message, ‘For all your worth preserve mother earth’. Stephanie advised, “I chose this message as it embodies not only the ethos that I have lived with for my whole life but it also harmonised well with the Miss Earth organisations. Preserving our natural resources is the first step to a greener future. Being resourceful was important to me in the eco warrior round as the outfit I wore was made completely from real flowers. We were also judged on our environmental knowledge and, based on our charity work, how we raised awareness for the environment in the lead up to the final. It was a very thorough process.”
As Miss Earth England Stephanie will go on to represent her country in Miss Earth World which takes place in the Philippines in November.
Stephanie enthused, “I am extremely honoured to be representing my beautiful country England and am very excited to compete for Miss Earth with many like-minded women. It is truly a dream.”
Gales Partner Matthew Moore advised, “We are thrilled for Steph’s success and look forward to supporting her in her Miss Earth contest in November. Her commitment to the environment is impressive and we hugely admire her achievements.”
